Naturebarrels is a project that combines surf, art and storytelling to deliver limitless stoke through Samson, The Legendary Surfing Sasquatch.
The brand takes an alternative approach to a surf brand by putting visual storytelling at its core. With Samson, the Legendary Surfing Sasquatch as its central figure, the project aims to share the joy of surfing and help people connect with nature.
The foundational challenge was to create a logo that conveyed the unique essence of the brand: an imaginative and playful combination of ocean waves and nature.
An arched pine tree evokes a breaking wave and suggests a scope beyond the ocean, while also subtly referencing Sasquatch’s origins.
The bold yet softly muted colors tap into a category that feels grounded, approachable and fun.
